FORT ERIE (September 22, 2023) – On September 18, 2023, Town of Fort Erie Council approved By-law No. 136-2023, which adopted the 2023-2026 Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP) that identifies priorities that will lead the municipality over the next four years.
Council created a new Vision: “Fort Erie: A Community For Everyone” that ties in each Strategic Objective statement for the six key pillars.

FORT ERIE (September 07, 2023) – The Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) has selected the Fort Erie Fire Department as the recipient of one of 20 bursaries to develop mental wellness programs. Each bursary is worth a total of $10,000. The Fort Erie Fire Department will use this gift to ensure our firefighters have the mental wellness tools and resources to face challenging situations. FORT ERIE (August 25, 2023) – Mayor Redekop and Fort Erie Council are thrilled to announce that Fred Costabile of 5001997 Ontario Inc. has donated 22 acres of riparian lands east of Waverly Beach Park to the Town of Fort Erie for conservation and public use. The Transfer of title to the lands was registered on August 14, 2023. Access to the Lake Erie shoreline is a significant issue in Fort Erie.
